Our story
Every good story begins with a conversation. After working closely with the Apple industry for 35 years, I decided to retire, but not retire from life. In the twilight of my career, I became aware of a revolutionary new way to process produce. With extensive knowledge of apples, I experimented with many different varieties before landing on the Snow King Red Delicious. This heirloom apple is known for its sweet flavor profile and winter hardiness as well as survivability in other harsh weather conditions. This high-quality apple thrives in the Pacific Northwest. Armed with a great idea, I presented my product at many family gatherings and social events. Much adulation was received with comments such as: "I could eat the whole bag – guilt free" and "finally an unprocessed, clean great tasting snack". Thus, Jack's Apple Chips was born.
Excitement percolated throughout the whole family. I have been blessed with a supportive wife and three children who all lead exciting careers, but quickly carved out time in their busy lives to create a wonderful new product. We truly have earned the merit badge of family-operated.

Our apples are soaked in tapioca starch, cooked to perfection in sustainable red palm oil, centrifuged to extract any remaining oil, and seasoned as desired. No artificial flavors, preservatives, or fillers. Three simple ingredients, designed by nature.
